A few weeks ago, my partners dad came to visit and told us about this little picturesque village not far from us. So we all hopped in the car and went to find it, after about half an our of driving we did. This place is beautiful, the buildings are build with the infamous cotswolds stone and the ivy frames the houses as it grows.

According to www.cotswolds.info, the villages name, “Lower Slaughter, stems from the Old English name for a wet land ‘slough’ or ‘slothre’ (Old English for muddy place) upon which it lies.” There is also an Upper Slaughter which is somehow smaller and has the same style of housing.
